EverBlock, the popular “Lego type” building blocks that have been making waves globally, was brought to South Africa two years ago by entrepreneurs Matt Karpinski and Dylan Verhave. EverBlock offers a modular building system of oversized polypropylene blocks to construct durable, fun furniture and structures. They tell us more about the business, based in Parktown North.

How did your business start?

As creative serial entrepreneurs, we are always on the lookout for the next best thing that will deliver great value, fun and profit. Dylan stumbled across EverBlock online and we made contact with the US parent company, teamed up and began importing quite quickly. EverBlock are giant “Lego type” building blocks that can be used to create furniture, walls and room dividers. They have become popular with individuals who buy/rent them to build desks or TV units, and with corporate clients who use them at events to create walls, work stations, bars and wall dividers.

Why did you choose this area?

It found us. Dylan is a family man and lives nearby and Matt is an events specialist with an active social life. Parktown North was an instant fit as we were both looking to have more fun in our creative workspace.
