It’s not that KZN drags its feet when it comes to partying or purchases of alcoholic beverages, it just seems as if we’re all grown up now – Norman Goodfellows has come to town with its boutique-style offering and services. We spoke with director, Orlando Ferreira to find out more.
How did your business start?
Norman Goodfellows is a third generation family business. From a one-store outlet in Johannesburg, the late Solly Kramer established a national chain of 140 retail stores, which was sold to SAB Miller in the late 1960’s. After a number of years in executive management, son Norman Kramer left to pursue his entrepreneurial interests – resulting in Norman Goodfellows, fine wine and liquor merchants, in 1976.
We also provide customised gift solutions – a team of talented conceptual thinkers, designers and packers ensure that gifts tie in with brand values or specific occasions – and are visually enticing even before it is unwrapped. Swift delivery and follow- up complete the process.
We are specialists – from expert in-store advice, to food-wine pairing consultations and a bespoke party service that offers everything from glasses and cocktail-ware to waiters and mobile bars. We believe our reputation precedes us, and that Umhlanga residents expect the superior level of service and product, we’re used to providing.
