The Under the Mountain Music Festival is an exciting new event on the Cape Town social calendar. The festival will take place on Sunday the 16th of September 2018 and will celebrate the best of South African music with a fantastic line-up, including stars Matthew Mole, GoodLuck and Majozi, and exciting newcomers Grassy Spark and Touchwood.

The event is open to the public at an entrance fee of R200 for adults and R100 for children aged 2-12, and will be held on the spectacular St Cyprian’s School field in the heart of Oranjezicht, looking onto the iconic slopes of Table Mountain.

The festival will kick-off officially at 11am, after which kids aged 2-12, for R100, can spend the day at the Kids Fun Zone where they can enjoy a range of interactive and creative activities including face painting, sand art, cupcake decorating and butterfly balloon burst. They will also have free access to the thrilling rocket, the saloon bar shootout, target soccer and the photo-booth.

Teens and adults will be able to enjoy the festival buzz and select their favourite dishes from a wide and exciting range of Food Trucks – you can feast on Hippo’s Diner pulled pork buns, Burger Guy’s gourmet burgers, Black Beerd fish and chips, Chef Chen’s sushi, Dos Chido chilli and a variety of delicious desserts and bakes. There are lots of food options for the kids too.

This family day is about being able to kick back and relax on the lawn, sipping drinks, soaking up the beats of a fabulous line-up, chatting to friends and gazing up at the mountain and enjoying the fabulous neighbourhood and community that is City Bowl.
