This December, the Maluti mountains will come alive to the classical sounds of Sibongile Khumalo, singing songs from Prince Magogo and other South African operatic originals with a jazzy twist for the Golden Gate Classics. Sibongile will be joined by a 40-piece orchestra and conducted by Kutlwano Masote in the Golden Gate Highlands National Park (GGHNP) just outside of Clarens in the Free State.
South African National Parks (SANParks) will stage the 3rd Annual Golden Gate Classic Concert scheduled for the weekend of 6 – 8 December 2019. The artists for this year’s concert are top class and will keep all Jazz and Classical music lovers captivated.
Guests can marvel at the wonders of the Maluti Mountain Range as they are regaled by an evening of jazz with the internationally acclaimed Bokani Dyer Trio and award winning songbird Thandi Ntuli on Friday, 06th December 2019. The evening of Saturday 07th December will showcase the artistic versatility of Sibongile Khumalo. Soprano Zandile Mzazi and members of the T.U.T Vocal Art Chorus will also take to the stage displaying a growing and rich operatic culture in South Africa.
