Bloubergstrand and the beach are synonymous, thanks to the picture postcard view of Table Mountain.
The sunsets towards Robben Island, the superb kite-surfing, SUP boarding, and beach walks are part of everyday life in this charming suburb. Cafés and restaurants right on the beach take advantage of the glorious views, no matter what the weather.
Families love the area for the outdoor lifestyle, and good selection of private and public schools in nearby suburbs like Milnerton, Table View, Sunningdale and Parklands.
The conservation area of Blaauwberg Nature Reserve creates a natural boundary of strandveld and fynbos for coastal development, but there are numerous new developments going up in neighbouring Sunningdale and Parklands. A giant new mall in the area will open in September, while plenty of smaller village malls and Bayside provide plenty of opportunities for retail therapy.
Rietvlei, part of Table Bay Nature Reserve, is popular for water-skiing, canoeing, sailing and windsurfing, while the wetland reserve is a hotspot for birdwatching. And of course the West Coast is just up the R27, with all of its attractions.

“I love the relaxed vibe, the friendliness of people, the fossilized shark’s teeth you can find on the beach, the stunning view, and Blouberg’s proximity to the Winelands and West Coast.”
