If you want to be healthy and make better food choices, but simply don’t have the time, look no further. At Green is Better Saladbar Restaurant, you can take charge of your health by choosing what you put into your body with no hidden preservatives, and with no time wasted.
First of its kind
Green is Better is the first healthy fast food restaurant in South Africa. The concept was born in 2006 with the first salad bar opened in Paris. Adèle Hatting then took the initiative and bought the rights for South Africa, to then open the first South-African Green is Better Saladbar in Cherry Lane, Brooklyn in January.
What’s on the menu?
With a high number of South Africans suffering from diabetes, heart diseases and obesity, Adèle is adamant that our health can improve by having a healthy meal a day. At Green is Better you can design your own meal by choosing your base (lettuce, quinoa, pasta, gluten free pasta, rice or a wrap) and add a minimum of four toppings like sliced grilled chicken, peppers, feta and pineapple, as well as a salad dressing. This way you can choose exactly what you feel like eating at that specific moment and you don’t have to wait for 30 minutes, but only 60 seconds. So there are no more excuses for not eating healthily.
The Saladbar contains 30 plus toppings including different proteins, veggies, fruit and dairy products. There are also soups, quiches, desserts, wraps, muffins, tea, coffee, cappuccino, juices and smoothies available every day and all ingredients are fresh with no preservatives added.
And they have now partnered with Delivery Xtreme, Hatfield in order to delivery healthy fast food to your door.
