If you’re an entrepreneur or a freelancer, you’ll understand how tricky it can be to operate from home or in a rigid office environment. Here’s our pick of savvy hot desking workspaces where you can pull in, plug in your laptop and do business among like-minded people.
Grounded at Echo
A space made by creatives for creatives in the well-known and loved Moot coffee shop, Grounded at Echo is a new and exciting initiative by owners David and Karolien. They’ve worked hard to devise a conducive workspace where patrons can meet, collaborate and draw inspiration from each other, or work uninterrupted by clipping a red flag on their chair.
Visitors can rely on fast internet, a printer and scanner, a meeting room, dedicated desk space and a quieter environment in which to conduct their daily business. To sweeten the deal, all of Grounded at Echo’s coffee is half price to anyone who joins this happy workforce.
Social Company Brasserie
If you love working away from home but prefer a calmer space, this one might just be for you. With its beautiful black steel, copper and wood decor, Social Company Brasserie is a soothing venue that houses separate workstations with easily accessible power outlets and friendly service right at your desk.
A boardroom, as well as a private and more relaxed meeting room is also available for booking. Whether for a big lunch or an uninterrupted coffee, this is an ideal place to meet with clients.
Vintage Coffee
With their incredible lifestories, generous natures and world-class coffee, Kevin and Rebeca have made this an uplifting space for all who cross their threshold. Vintage Coffee is a non-profit artisanal coffee shop that helps provide a great working environment, while contributing to the community.
They also have a gallery complete with an HDTV and connections for Mac and PC that can be booked for meetings or workshops. With carefully selected playlists, and the heady aroma of ground beans and fresh coffee, it’s hard to not be in a positive mental space while going about your business here.
