With the cooler months ahead this is the time to stay fit and healthy. Since it’s inception in the UK in 2013, Hotpod Yoga has spread globally and it has taken Pretoria by storm. Mischa Els, the talented lady who was the first representative of Hotpod Yoga South Africa, is leading Hotpod Yoga Pretoria. Mischa obtained her 200-hour yoga teacher’s training qualification in Rishikesh, India. She also hosts various pop-up yoga events all over Pretoria in association with Yo. Go. Flo.
Hotpod Yoga Pretoria
As a mentally calming and physically challenging alternative to traditional exercise it is no wonder that an increasing number of people are turning to these purple sanctuaries for their weekly dose of Vinyasa Yoga. Even sporting teams such as the Harlequins Rugby Club entrust the team at Hotpod Yoga Pretoria with their fitness routine.
How it works
Classes are conducted in inflatable, cocoon-like pods kept at a constant temperature of 37°C. The pod is dimly lit and scented to create a calming atmosphere, and can comfortably accommodate a class of 20 people. The high temperature helps participants to be more flexible and prevent any injuries that may be caused by not warming up properly. With a mixture of active and passive postures you are guaranteed a balanced physical workout while relieving stress.
The 37°C heat helps the body to easily adapt to the workout without putting unnecessary strain on cold muscles. Warming up your muscles properly and increasing your flexibility allows your heart and lungs to work harder but at a healthy rate. With the pod’s calm atmosphere and the help of Hotpod Yoga’s skilled instructors it is easy to achieve a healthy mental state.
How to join
Hotpod Yoga sessions are suitable for all skill levels, ages and genders. With daily classes it is easy to join in at a time that is convenient to you. There are no monthly fees unless you want to purchase a monthly subscription for unlimited classes. Hotpod Yoga’s nifty app makes it easy to check class times, purchase a class pass and stay updated with challenges and workshops.
