It wouldn’t be the Cape Town CBD if it wasn’t filled with all kinds of fascinating activities, pretty much every night of the week. Here are a few of our favourites…

InstaWalk Cape Town
Meet other Cape Town Instagramers and take a walk through the city with @IgersCapeTown. They love walking the city during golden hour, sometimes on the beachfront, sometimes in the CBD, always to new and interesting locations for the perfect Instagram shot.

Tuesday Jazz at Asoka
Head to Kloof Street’s Asoka for live jazz every Tuesday night from 8pm. It’s the ideal way to relax after a busy day, and an insider secret that locals don’t like to share… Don’t forget to book a table: it gets busy!

OMG Quiz Night, Alexander Bar and Café
Every Wednesday sees the charming and quirky Alexander Bar and Café transform into a competitive platform for OMG Quiz Night – a quiz night with a difference, for teams of one to six people (tweets and competitive slurs between teams welcomed!) Book online or on the day – it starts at 7.30pm sharp.

First Thursdays Cape Town
On the first Thursday of every month, head into the CBD for an exploration of all the latest art, design and cultural happenings in Cape Town with First Thursdays. Restaurants and bars run specials, art galleries and shops throw open their doors, and it’s the best place to see and be seen by Cape Town’s finest.

ImproGuise
If you want to laugh until you cry, join ImproGuise, Cape Town’s oldest and best loved theatre improve team who delight in playing TheatreSports and often perform live shows around the CBD. You can also pop in for a bi-weekly drop in class to flex your improvising muscles, if that’s more your style…
