Exclusive Books warehouse sale
Book lovers are marking days off the calendar until the Exclusive Books Warehouse sale. Originally set to take place from 31 July – August 3, the event is starting two days earlier – on 29 July – due to high demand. The Facebook event page alone has clocked 19,000 RSVPs to date and only a few hundred “maybes”. At R20 a book, all proceeds will be donated to literacy charities. The sale takes place at 31 Commerce Crescent, Kramerville from 9am – 4pm. Coincidentally, The South African Book Fair 2015 also takes place 31 July – August 2 at Turbine Hall, Newtown where bibliophiles can meet anew and established authors and listen to lectures or simply find a quiet space and get stuck in a good book. This year’s theme is #DiscoverYourBookshelf

#2sidesofthebeat
Kid Fonque presents #2sidesofthebeat featuring The Brother Moves On (live) and hip-hop and neo-soul artist Themba Lunacy. This collaborative effort featuring BMO – known for their ability (and need) to escape definition or categorization – should make for an electric performance.
