A hybrid real estate agency, which embraces traditional and online, RLK Properties moved to Infinity Business Park in October last year from Fourways Office Golf Park. Founder Robbie Kresser tells us more about the business.
How did your business start?
I have been in the real estate industry for the last 20 years having worked for various companies and decided last year to start my own business and embraced the new technological advancements in the industry, hence the hybrid agency of both traditional and online real estate. More prospective homeowners are turning to online property portals to find their dream home because the process is faster, easier and substantially cheaper than buying or selling through a traditional estate agency, and I also believed a fresh start with a dynamic methodology was the way to go.
Why did you choose this area to set up office?
Fourways is a booming area with a number of opportunities for the property sector, it’s also a great place to call home.
How did you find your premises?
The premises are new and watched as they were constructed, then made contact with the landlords directly from an advertising board.
Why are the premises ideally suited to your business?
The offices are located along the busy main road with great street visibility, so they’fre easily accessible for our staff and clients. They are also two minutes’ drive from my home in Dainfern.
Who are your neighbours?
MLB Architects, Advertology and Floodgate Agencies.
What are the shop rental/sales prices like in this area?
They range from around R120/m2.
How many people visit your office each day?
About five people.
Do you operate online as well?
Yes, online in the current market is a must, however a face-to-face approach is essential. Our website is informative and we are also active on Facebook (facebook.com/RLKProperties).
Do you have any expansion plans?
In future, we would like to have offices in each province.
What’s your most popular service?
Rentals and sales –sectional-title units in the area are in high demand.
