We all need some downtime to restore body, mind and soul. Here’s where you can tune out, tune in, and rebalance and reboot

Durbanville yoga centre
6 Camelia Street, Wellway Park East
The form of yoga practiced here, Hatha Yoga, is a type based on energy and the word “hatha” means sun/moon, male/female, creative/receptive, warming/cooling, body/mind, and positive/negative.
Hatha Yoga includes a set of asanas, which are postures involving the mind’s attention; pranayama, which are breathing practices that help your body to warm up and cool down, and to be energised and calmed; as well as relaxation techniques. The aim is to leave you feeling in harmony and resistant to disease. Apart from regular yoga classes, the centre also offers teachers’ training courses, workshops and retreats. A beginner’s course is available for those who have never done yoga before.
