Blouberg certainly has it all, and whether you like a quaint coffee shop (Petite Fours), a pumping beach bar (Pakololo) or a great family restaurant (Doodles) – this neighbourhood has something for every taste!

Petite Fours on Stadler Road

This delightfully unique deli offers an interesting mix of French-style bistro-food and typical West-coast cuisine. There are wonderfully interesting dishes like savoury chicken cheesecake on the menu, as well a whole host lovingly prepared pastries, cakes, cupcakes, tarts, quiches, pies, croissants and moreish muffins – and treats like pears poached in aromatic syrup with pecan nuts and mixed baby leaves, beetroots chips and bruschetta topped with melted Brie cheese. Nestled in a picture-perfect heritage site that dates back from 200 years ago, Petit Fours is all about atmosphere and merges lovely oceanfront views with the kind of coffee shop-fare that truly soothes the soul.

Pakalolo on Beach Boulevard

The relaxed vibe is totally suited to the Oceanside setting and the Pakalolo is open 7 days a week, from 9am. Highlights on the menu include their Old School Hamburger and Chilli Poppers. Oh and the freshly pressed juices are just about the best possible way to start the day!

Coupled with that, their mouth-watering menu, great service, live music and fantastic ensure that every visit to this gem of a restaurant is a memorable one. Open 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch and supper, they also cater for private functions – and boast and a la carte menu as well as platters and set menus, as well as a pizza oven. Their hearty breakfasts include a buffet option that packs quite a punch and when it comes to their menu combos, the pork rib and prawn combo is a treat.
