The Wilds Lifestyle and Security Estate is quite an animal, situated right in the centre between some of the largest and most deluxe, sought after estates in Pretoria East.
Living in luxe: The Wilds Estate in Pretoria
The estate is filled with beautiful and lush-gardened homes in the six sub-estates, such as Leopard’s Den, Elephant Hills, Rhino Ridge and Buffalo Creek. With the scarcity of homes available in Pretoria, The Wilds’ new development Lion’s Head, is tugging at the heartstrings of buyers. The newly-built homes and building packages in Lion’s Head, once again, prove to be a strong driver of demand.
Amenities at The Wilds Estate in Pretoria
The Wilds ensures residents’ safety with a strict double-access control at the main gate, further security at the entrance gates to each sub-estate, high-tec security cameras and security patrol cars. It is a stones-throw away from Woodlands Boulevard, and sits neatly between three main roads, Garsfontein, Allandale and De Villa Bois Marreuil Drive, offering easy access to the R21 and the N1 highways as well as the OR Tambo International Airport. Other luxury estates in the area include Woodhill Golf Estate and Mooikloof Equestrian Estate.
Residents living in the 220ha estate also have peace of mind knowing that the Netcare Pretoria East Hospital is merely 3km away. Locals are sport-savvy and love jogging in the estate, but for those who want to take it a step further there are two Virgin Active gyms in close proximity. The Wilds also has its own pool, squash and tennis courts as well as an upmarket clubhouse. The estate combines convenience with luxury, and residents are mostly high net-worth business owners and professionals, according to RealNet area principal Vanessa Sofianos.
Schools at The Wilds Estate
“There are top private schools in the vicinity (many learners attend the Woodhill College opposite The Wilds), and we have seen many families relocate here from other parts of Pretoria and even from as far away as Cape Town, because of its excellent combination of location, facilities and security,” she says.
Property prices
Lion’s Head double storey mansions now sell for more than R4,5m. Some stands are 1,100m2 to 1,440m2, while the homes measure 450m2 to 500m2, and each have four or five bedrooms, several bathrooms, large living rooms that open out on to a patio with a braai area, multiple automated garages and beautifully landscaped garden.
Other properties in The Wilds sell quite readily at prices from R3m and up. There are also townhouses that cost from around R1,2m and stands for sale in Lion’s Head at around R1,2m for just over 1,000m2.
