Apart from the wonderful and laidback lifestyle here, one of the many reasons why the False Bay area is such a popular choice with families is the proximity and variety of excellent schools. Primary and high schools with excellent reputations abound and what’s more, the well-known schools of the Southern Suburbs are also within commuting distance – and the railway even makes it possible for older children to travel there independently.

There are some really great choices offered in Muizenberg, and the following pre-school and primary school options in Kalk Bay and the Noordhoek Valley are also incredibly popular.

Kalk Bay

Bay Primary: This charming school, with its views of the Kalk Bay Harbour, offers Grade R-4 classes, an aftercare facility, as well as Grade 5-7 on the historic senior campus. The staff is committed to growing each child’s mind, body and spirit for the sake of their all-round health, and the emphasis is on a balanced education. This is done while inspiring, motivating and supporting the employees at the school, who are all passionate about educating these young minds.
