Skip the flowers, instead do something different for that special person in your life
With Valentine’s Day fast approaching, we bring you a few ideas on how to have the perfect experience. Here are Neighbourhood’s top three picks on how to treat that special person in your life.
Constantia Glen – Constantia Nek
Known for its picturesque vineyards and cool-climate wines, Constantia Glen this Valentine’s Day will be hosting a Brut Rosé MCC French Breakfast complete with freshly baked croissants or smoked trout ribbons, dill and lemon crème fraiche, and a complimentary glass of Brut Rosé and a cup of coffee and tea. For lunch you can indulge in an antipasto sharing platter, a bottle of Rosemarie and Funa MCC while taking in the breathtaking mountain views.
Darling Brew – Darling
Darling Brew is doing things a little different this Valentine’s Day. Head to the West Coast village on Saturday, 11 February, to enjoy a Valentine’s Picnic complete with live music. On the Sunday, you can wind down with a decadent sit-down lunch at the Darling Tasteroom and Brewery. If you’re looking for a treat on Valentine’s Day, Darling Brew will be hosting a special beer and food pairing, featuring its limited edition Pomegranate Lager.
Boschendal Estate – Franschhoek
Boschendal has pulled out all the stops this Valentine’s Day, with bubbly tastings, carriage rides, spa treatments and, of course, delectable food all awaiting you and your special person. You’ll have a choice between a three-course dinner at the Werf Restaurant, a farm-to-table dining experience at the Farm Shop and Deli, or a Rhone picnic beneath the trees. With so much variety, there is something for every taste.
